WHAT WE OFFER

WHAT IS FORWARD MOTION?
The FMHSC was started in 1979 and has hosted cross country dirtbike racing for neighboring states every since! A cross country dirtbike race (or hare scramble) is a high-endurance off-road dirt bike race where riders compete in a mass-start, multi-lap competition over rough natural terrain, typically lasting 1.5 to 2 hours. It tests both speed and endurance, featuring technical woods, hills, mud, and obstacles over 3 - 12 miles, with most of ours averaging 4 - 6 miles. Our courses are challenging but offer alternate routes when necessary to ensure every entry can make it around. Our two-day events offer maximum riding opportunities, a separate PeeWee course, multiple courses and classes, and overnight dry camping on Saturday nights.
These family-friendly events welcome spectators and riders of all ages and ability levels! We have a place for you to gain skills and confidence for riding and racing. Keeping the various rider levels in mind, use first gear in the pits, maintain spectator distance from the race course, pack it in / pack it out, hydrate, wear a helmet while riding, and share your videos and photos on our socials pages!
